The Finance and Planning Committee (F&P) of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) approved annual budget worth Rupees 1.810 billion. F&P meeting was held as provisional vice chancellor Dr Farkhanda Manzoor in the chair. Committee also approved service structure and house requisition for its employees. The fiscal recommendations will be presented in Syndicate for final approval.
VC said that the Varsity has increased its Research Promotion Fund which will be used for research projects, conferences, workshops, seminars, travel grant, printing of research journals, publication fee and incentive for research publications. Vice Chancellor added that a few steps have been taken to attract more and more students to become research scholars. She directed director research to immediately issue research grant for existing research scholars of LCWU.
VC said that with the support of faculty, she would strive hard to bring LCWU among the best universities of the world while her emphasis will be on the academic excellence and research advancement.
