Caretaker Punjab Information and Culture Minister Ahmed Waqas Riaz has formally assumed his office here on Tuesday. Punjab Information and Culture Secretary Abdullah Khan Sumbal called on the Minister and extend his felicitations. He also briefed the Minister about functioning of the information department.
Later, a delegation from Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by Lahore Division president Falahat Hussain held an introductory meeting with the minister and congratulated him on assuming the new assignment. On the occasion, the minister assured that for the promotion of cultural activities his department will join hands with Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Ahmed Waqas Riaz also paid visits of Shadman and Walton Ramazan Baazars, respectively, and inspected stalls. He also talked with the consumers and expressed his overall satisfaction over facilities being provided there.
