Caretaker PM, CM Punjab submit asset details

Caretaker Prime Minister former Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk and caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Hassan Askari along with other members of their cabinets have submitted their asset details with the Election Commission of Pakistan. According to details, the interim premier has 14 properties to his name in Pakistan, including plots of one kanal each in D-15 and G-14 in Islamabad.
The caretaker prime minister also owns a two-kanal plot, worth Rs 11 million, in Bahria Enclave Islamabad and an apartment worth Rs 22 million in Diplomatic Enclave Islamabad.
Mulk's wife possesses properties worth $714,286 in Singapore and £272,850 in London. She has investment worth $722,590, jewellery worth Rs 3.1 million, furniture of Rs 6.5 million, more than Rs 100 million in four different bank accounts and mortgage of $380,363 on properties.
The asset details show that Punjab Chief Minister Hasan Askari possesses a house worth Rs 7 million, cash and prize bonds of Rs 0.93 million and a bank balance of Rs 10 million.
Caretaker chief ministers of Sindh and Balochistan, among others, have not yet submitted the details of their assets. Several ministers in the caretaker setup, including Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar, Interior Minister Azam Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dost Muhammad Khan have submitted the details to the ECP.
The Election Commission has decided to write to those who have not yet fulfilled the requirement, which had to be completed within three days after the caretaker ministers took oath of their offices. Under Section 230 of the Elections Act, the statements of assets and liabilities are to be made on a specified form and the same would be published in the official gazette.
