The much-anticipated Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’ opened at the box office with Rs 20.14 crore. Despite good promotions, the movie witnessed a downfall on its second day with Rs 18.22 crore and as of now, the film’s total collection stands at Rs 59.07 crore.
The film, which also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, has remained steady at the box office throughout the weekend. The ticket sales over the weekend recorded similar numbers on each day that barely exceeded the opening day collections of the film.
Indian Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Zero has clearly under performed, remained on similar levels over the weekend no turnaround/big jump in business”.
#Zero has clearly underperformed... Remained on similar levels over the weekend... No turnaround / big jump in biz... #Christmas holiday [tomorrow] should boost biz... Real test on Wed and Thu... Fri 20.14 cr, Sat 18.22 cr, Sun 20.71 cr. Total: ? 59.07 cr. India biz.

The movie opened with mixed reviews on Friday. While some appreciated SRK’s latest release, others believe that the storyline of the film is not convincing enough.
With the Christmas holiday on Tuesday, the film’s collections might rise. ‘Zero’ will face stiff competition from Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’ that releases on December 28.
