Nawaz Sharif will soon return much stronger: Maryam Nawaz

Maryam Nawaz who had been absent from social media for months, bombarded Twitter with tweets following the accountability court’s verdict against her father Nawaz Sharif.

Soon after the court sentenced Nawaz to seven years imprisonment and imposed a fine of $1.5 billion in the Al-Azizia reference, Maryam was quick to come to her ‘honest’ father’s defence.

“How many times will one person be targeted? How many times will the person be sent to jail?”she tweeted, adding that the government is scared of Nawaz and that their days will be over soon.

Maryam also wrote that punishment was given to the same man for the fourth time. She claimed that this was the last hiccup in the blind revenge saying that victory is Nawaz's.

Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leader said that this decision by the accountability against Nawaz will not be accepted by the nation. He said that Nawaz should have been acquitted in Al-Azizia case too as there were no evidence against him.

He remarked that this was the first ever verdict in the history of Pakistan that was given in closed court and closed doors and that too after six hours of delay. He said, "It is important for justice that judgments are given in open court."
