230 awarded degrees at KUST convocation

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said we are passing through a very tough phase of our history but the history reveals that all great nations do go through such disorders and it is not at all unusual, adding that we are neither the first nor the only one. Nevertheless, those who stand steadfast in the face of such oddities rise and conquer the glories others could only wish for, he maintained.
This he stated while addressing the 10th convocation of Kohat University of Science && Technology (KUST) on Friday The Convocation, beside others was also attended by the former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lieutenant-General Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah (retd), Deputy Commissioner Kohat Khalid Ilyas, vice chancellor KUST Professor Jamil Ahmad, faculty deans, professors, parents and students in large number. VC KUST in his speech highlighted the achievements and successes of the university in detail. Governor on this occasion conferred 48 gold medals and 230 degrees to the students.
The Governor said we do not need to be dismayed as different circumstances spur the brave to excel and we have proved on a number of occasions in the very recent past that we are a brave and courageous nation.
He further said he expects the youth to keep faith in their abilities and always direct their energies with all honesty towards their goals, the betterment of the society and development of Pakistan.
The Governor, while addressing the students, congratulated them and said this is the beginning of their real practical life and they have been grown up as young engineers of their respective disciplines. This phase of their life demands recognition and realization of their sphere of responsibilities to themselves, to their families, to the greater human society, and of course to our beloved homeland, Pakistan, he stressed.
