Robberies, thefts on the rise in capital

Despite heightened security in and around the federal capital, over eight cases of robbery, four cases of auto theft and three cases of kidnapping were reported to various police stations of the city during the last week.
According to the data gathered by Business Recorder, two cases of murder were also reported to different police stations during the aforementioned period. During the last week most favourite areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Secretariat, Khanna, and Kohsar police stations.
Kohsar police station registered two cases of auto theft during the last week. Motor vehicle thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIN-3638 of Waheed Ahmad and lifted another bike bearing registration number AQM-263 of Munawwar.
During the last week, Secretariat police station registered one case each of kidnapping and auto theft. Carjackers stole a bike (JML-294) of Muhammad Adeel, which was parked in front of a restaurant. Another Muhammad Siddiq informed Secretariat police station that unknown persons kidnapped his daughter.
Similarly, Khanna police station registered one case each of kidnapping and murder during the last week. Nawaz filed a complaint with Khanna police station that accused Irfan kidnapped his daughter. Another Baber Jamil lodged a complaint with Khanna police station that accused Muneer and Raja Haider killed his son. In the same period, Ramna, Shehzad Town, Golra, Lohi Bher, Nilor, Karachi Company, Bani Gala, and Koral police stations registered one case each of robbery while Industrial Area police registered one case of kidnapping and Noon police station registered one murder case.
