Prior to formal inauguration of Hajj flight operation on July 16, a meeting was convened at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Thursday under the chairmanship of Airport Manager Tahir Sikandar to discuss the arrangements and facilities to be provided at the airport to help and guide the pilgrims during the Hajj operation.
Chief Security Officer ASF Colonel Ali Tipu, representatives of FIA, ANF, customs, and airport health departments, station managers of all operating airlines, ground-handling agents along with DSP Cantt, AC Cantt, and traffic officer Lahore were also present on the occasion.
The meeting decided that this year the Hajj operation will be carried out from main terminal building of Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Other important decisions were also taken during the session regarding improved facilities for the pilgrims.
Keeping in view the security aspect and to avoid congestion at the airport, it was decided that only one visitor will be allowed with one passenger, both at the time of departure and arrival of pilgrims.
