Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has termed that the Accountability Court judgment was historical and hoped that the decision would not affect the smooth process of the general elections of 2018 and the polls should be held in its true spirit in a transparent manner within time.
He was addressing a public meeting in Tehsil Tangi UC Shakoor Charsadda in connection of election campaign. QWP provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao also addresses the gathering. On this occasion the central chairman of Mazdoor Kisaan Party Afzal Khamosh and QWP leadership assured full support to each other in the upcoming general elections. Aftab Sherpao, vehemently pleaded the cause of democracy, saying that the continuation of sustainable of democracy would usher in a new era of progress and development.
He declared QWP would not allow any move which would cause fissures in democratic process and holding of transparent and timely polls. He said that the elections should be held within time so as durability of the institutions could be ensured.
He said that PML-(N) chief Shahbaz Sharif statement regarding the continuation of election campaign after the verdict was a goodwill gesture.
He said that one should not distribute sweets over the court judgment and celebrations as it is against the norms of the democratic behaviors.
Aftab Sherpao lamented the continued unannounced and long hour's loadsheding in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He stated that KP is the largest producer of electricity in Pakistan but was still faced with uncontrolled and unannounced loadsheding. Aftab Sherpao harshly criticized the PTI chairman for turning the province into wreckage due to lack of vision and good governance.
He said that the claims of the PTI chairman that he would put the country on the road of progress if his party came in power after elections terming it more than a joke with people.
He said that PTI leadership's real face had already been exposed to the people and before making any false promise they are answerable to the masses of KP for destroying the province.
