Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said, "A true leader is one who spends national wealth on people". He was addressing an Ulema Mushaikh conference in Golra Sharif, said that a man is respected less when he thinks too much of himself. "Everyone knew that Nawaz Sharif was lying. There is more than Rs 300 billion in the bank accounts of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz," he said.
He said that the national debt has increased by more than Rs 6 billion. The PTI chief said that 25 million children in Pakistan are not enrolled in schools. "The leading cause of death among children in Pakistan is lack of clean drinking water," he continued. Imran further said that it is the responsibility of the state to take care of widows and the orphans.
The PTI chief said that there should be an equal law for Pakistanis. He went on to say that a small part of the population is getting richer day-by-day. A small class is getting richer but the condition of poverty-ridden people remained unchanged, he added. He urged the nation to unite and block the way of corrupt practices. "If we want to pull the country of this quagmire we will have to run it in a way it has never been run before," the PTI chief said.
If Allah gives him a chance, he said, he will prove that a person can also come to power to establish a welfare state as per teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) instead of milking money. He said that the Raja Zafarul Haq committee report on controversial amendments in Khatm-e-Nabuwat oath should be published.
