Pakistani bowlers displayed an impressive counter attack after they managed to bundle out South Africa batting for 223 runs, as Proteas lead by 42 runs in the first Test on Thursday. The bowling duo of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Amir took four wickets a piece, giving off 64 and 62 runs, respectively. Whereas, Hasan Ali claimed two wickets in his bowling spell. Earlier, Pakistan out 181 runs on the board thanks to a defiant knock of Babar Azam who scored 71 runs. Hasan (21) supported Azam in a ninth wicket stand of 67, easily the best of the innings. Meanwhile, for South Africa fast bowler Duanne Olivier was the pick of the bowler with six for 37 as the hosts subjected Pakistan to an onslaught of aggressive, short-pitched bowling.
