The Minister for Livestock & Dairy Development Department Punjab Mian Nauman Kabir paid a visit of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore's Ravi Campus Pattoki. Minister visited along with UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Assistant Commissioner Pattoki Muhammad Tayyab Khan in various departments of Ravi Campus Pattoki including Information Technology Center, Central Laboratory Complex (CLC), Milk Plant & Mini Dairy Processing Unit (Camel Milk), Dairy Animal Training & Research Center, Clinics, Zoological Museum and Fish Hatchery. Meanwhile Minister also planted a sapling in front of Central Laboratory Complex (CLC).
On the occasion taking to media, Minister Mian Nauman Kabir said that development of livestock sector on priority of caretaker government. He said the objective of his visit was to check the laboratories facilities and innovative research of UVAS regarding disease diagnoses, adulteration, reproduction of dairy animal, food, feed and semen analysis and research for the uplift of livestock sector in Punjab. He appreciated UVAS state-of-the-art disease diagnostic labs facilities, quality of education & research, dairy management trainings and providing clinical services for the benefit of poor farming community. He lauded the vital role of UVAS leadership in the development of livestock, dairy, poultry and related sectors by using its trained manpower and latest techniques.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Pasha briefed the Minister on the UVAS academic, research, dairy & advisory services, clinical & disease diagnostic facilities, various laboratories analysis/test conducted in Central Laboratory Complex (CLC), training programmes etc. He said UVAS actively working on applied research and all laboratories are equipped with latest technology and highly trained human resource to provide the best training to university students and the latest clinical facilities to the poor farming community. Later VC presented souvenir to Minister Livestock.
