Bangladesh bowlers battle back

14 Jul, 2018

Bangladesh were ten without loss in reply to the West Indies' first-innings total of 354 at lunch on the second day of the second and final Test in Jamaica on Friday. West Indies started the day on 295 for four but the tourists dominated the morning at Sabina Park, taking the last six wickets for 57 runs. Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan finished with five for 93, his fourth five-wicket Test haul, and seamer Abu Jayed took three for 38.
Only captain Jason Holder offered any resistance, hitting 33 not out. The hosts lead the series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Barbados by an innings and 219 runs inside three days. West Indies are searching for their first home series win since 2014, when Bangladesh were also their opponents and were well-beaten in Tests in St Vincent and St Lucia.
