The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has strongly condemned terrorist attacks in Mastung and Bannu and urged the government and security forces to deal with Pakistan's enemies with iron hands. LCCI president Malik Tahir Javaid, senior vice president Khawaja Khawar Rasheed and vice president Zeshan Khalil said in a joint statement that entire nation is mourning the loss of hundreds of precious lives. They said the nation stand shoulder to shoulder with their affected brothers and sisters in Mastung and Bannu.
Terming Mastung-Bannu tragedies another 'Black Day' for Pakistan, the LCCI office-bearers said that such anti-human acts cannot demoralize the nation. They said that massacre of masses or assassination of politicians is an ugly conspiracy to create anarchy in the country; therefore, government should utilize all available resources to track down the conspirators.
They said anti-Pakistani elements not only want to create unrest in the country but also trying to tarnish the soft image of the country through terrorist attacks. They said assassination bid demands more strict measures. LCCI office bearers said that the business community understands well that sincere and serious efforts are being made by the top brass of the law enforcement agencies of the country and they have, in many ways, succeeded in uprooting the menace to a great extent. They said new wave of terrorism has underlined the need for a big blow to the terrorists who want to destabilize Pakistan.
They said the business community would extend its all possible cooperation to the government and security forces in the national interest. "It is not just a tragedy for Balochistan and KP provinces; it is a tragedy for the entire nation. Every Pakistani is in a state of sorrow on the loss of precious lives of their brothers," said the LCCI top officials' joint statement in which they also urged the government and security forces to eradicate the menace of terrorism without any mercy.
