Elders of Kodakhel tribe of Mohmand district have alleged the occupying of mining reserves by influential people and demanded of the authorities concerned to retrieve mining reservoirs from them. Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar press club on Tuesday, Malik Abdul Kodakhel alleged that a resident of Afghanistan, Hamid Afghani had allegedly made fake CNICs of Kodakhel tribe, who had occupied the mining deposits in connivance of relevant political administration owned by the tribe.
He alleged that Hamid Afghani had exported precious chromite and Nephrite stones from Kodakhel mining reserves worth millions of rupees to other countries. He said that an inquiry letter was received by the Mohmand Political Administration after complaints about allegedly issuance fake CNIC to Hamid Afghani.
But, he said the political administration officials had verified the CNIC of Hamid Afghani by some Maliks of Musa Khel tribe instead of consulting elders of the Koda Khel tribe during inquiry about this crucial matter. He further said that Hamid Afghani was declared as Pakistani during course of the inquiry, which was completely unjust with them.
Flanked by elders of the Kodakhel tribe, Haji Khalilur Rehman Safi, Noor Hussain alias Shina, Mohammad Ikram, Sameen Gul, Redi Gul and Malik Shehraz, Abdul Kadokhel demanded of the relevant authorities to immediate block CNIC of Hamid Afghani and to expel him from the country. He also called to immediate retrieve precious mining reserves from Hamid Afghani, who backed by political administration and other influential people in the Mohmand district.
Haji Khalilur Rehman Safi said that the powerful Hamid Afghani is using influence everywhere by showing himself as Pakistani and authorities concerned awarded him mining leases of precious stones in the aera.
