The Industrial and commercial entities should register their maximum workers in order to make their old age comfortable within the giving circumstances. Addressing the FCCI (Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry) Standing Committee on Employees' Old Age Benefits Institution (EOBI)/Labour Laws, EOBI regional head (North) Zaheer Uddin Tahir stressed the need for better working relationship between FCCI and EOBI to safeguard the interest of their workers after retirement.
Standing Committee chairman Shahid Ahmed Sheikh expressed concern on inflation while former president Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz explained in detail the impacts of power looms crisis. He said a large number of power looms have been closed down while remaining are working with 40 percent of their installed capacity. In this situation the EOBI should not stress for the 100 percent and immediate recovery of contribution.
