Unbridled price hike coupled with non-stop depreciation of Pak rupee has staggered our efforts for the revival of national economy and government departments should take lenient view of recoveries and contributions due to the protracted slump in the businesses. FCCI SVP Sheikh Farooq Yusuf said.
Chairing a meeting of the FCCI Standing Committee on Social Security, senior vice president Sheikh Farooq Yusuf appreciated the facilities offered to the secured registered workers by PESSI but stressed the need that department should keep continuous crisis in view while recovering the social security contributions.
Standing Committee chairman Shahid Ahmed Sheikh mentioned the problems confronted by the industrial and business circles and said every individual is disturbed in the prevailing scenario.
Sheraz Haroon told that they are receiving notices for the audit of last 3 years which is not fair. He said maximum duration of audit should be reduced to 1 year only.
The meeting was also attended by Social Security directors Ahsan Ahmed and Rana Riaz. They explained in detail the facilities provided to the secured workers and told that there are 3 social security offices in the city and hence, they are facing problems in meeting the recovery targets.
Chaudhary Tallat Mehmood offered vote of thanks to the guests and participants.
