ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan said Saturday that a long-term strategy is being devised to meet the needs of textile industry in the country.
According to a Radio Pakistan report, the minister in a statement said all available resources would be mobilized in collaboration with provinces to achieve the set target of fifteen million bales cotton production next year.
He said a team of experts is devising details of the plan in consultation with stakeholders to achieve this target. Mehboob Sultan said all scientists and field staff of agriculture department will be mobilized for capacity building of growers in cotton production technology.
