Chairman Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) Mahmood Khan Achakzai on Friday rejected the election results and said that the worst example of rigging has been set in the history of Pakistan in the general elections of 2018.
He expressed these views in a press conference in Quetta Press Club here Friday. On the occasion, former provincial members Rahim Ziaratwal, Provincial Secretary Pak MAP Usman Khan Kakar, Liaquat Agha, former Senator Rauf Lala, Mayor Quetta Dr Kalim Ullah, District Chairman Pishin Mohammad Isa Roshan and the Party's sole elected member of the provincial assembly Nasirullah Khan Zarai were also present.
Mahmood Khan Achakzai demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to carry out biometric verification of the votes casted at 10 to 12 polling booths as notified by PKMAP. He said if biometric proves that no rigging was done, we will accept the results and if verification outcomes provide proof about outright rigging then we will make our own decision.
He said that PKMAP would also attend the All Parties Conference called by Maulana Fazl ur Rehman and would also go to prison to meet Mian Nawaz Sharif. Achakzai enlightened that his forefathers had wrestled for the endurance of democracy in the country. He said despite presence of difference of opinion, we have never criticized our opponents.
