Punjab government formation: PML-N seeks PPP's support

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Central Working Committee and parliamentary group's meeting decided to intensify its effort to form the government in Punjab province, taking support from Pakistan Peoples Party in light of the Charter of Democracy that was signed between the two parties. The PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif presided over the meeting that also decided that the party would not compromise on Nawaz Sharif's narrative.
Aaj News reported that Shahbaz said that PML-N emerged as the single largest party in Punjab 2018 elections. The party huddle also nodded for elected members of the PML-N to take oath of national and provincial assemblies. It was also decided to begin protest campaign against the electoral frauds. The protest will also be registered in the National Assembly sessions. They decided to take the APC members into confidence over said decisions. As a token of protest, PML-N members will tie black armbands while taking the oath.
