Caretaker Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Public Health Engineering, Rural Development, Inter Provincial Coordination and Excise & Taxation, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has said that in Rural Development Department the development work is in satisfactory position on 64 schemes, out of which 63 are old and one is new at the total cost of Rs 3533.9695 millions.
Presiding over a meeting he while expressing his satisfaction over the progress of on-going development schemes asked the chief engineer for speed up of the development work in order to complete these schemes in stipulated time to provide relief to the masses.
The meeting was informed that for 63 development schemes Rs 7125.40 million had been allocated, out of which Rs 2033.9695 million had been expensed, while Rs 1500 million had been allocated for new development scheme and so far Rs 749.9246 millions had been expensed. It was further told that 49 schemes were going in communication sector, 04 were in water sector, and 08 were in sanitation sector, while 02 were in housing and community amenities.
