Directives issued: Traffic violations will not be tolerated: SSP

Traffic discipline violators disturbing free flow of traffic, parking violations will not be tolerated to ensure smooth flow of traffic to help maintain the supremacy of traffic rules, said SSP Traffic Farrukh Rasheed.
Disciplinary actions have been taken against 14,273 parking violations. Meanwhile, 508 vehicles have also been compounded in various police stations against gross traffic violations, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
These are the specific directives given to Islamabad Traffic Police officials.
Special directives have been given to all deputy superintendent police performing their duties in various sectors of Islamabad, he added.
Across the board strict police action directives have also been given against the motorists failing to maintain traffic discipline disturbing the free flow of traffic, Rasheed maintained.
Strict parking laws introduced by ITP in front of parking plazas, within the due passage of time, should be enforced in the light of traffic police educative campaigns. These laws should be implemented in the true letter and spirit, SSP added.
Meanwhile, motorists parking their vehicles in no parking areas will not be spared at any cost and the rights of the pedestrians would be ensured at all costs to remove the chances of accidents, he concluded.-PR
