Punjab Caretaker Minister Industry, Commerce and Trade Mian Anjum Nisar Thursday inaugurated the three-day 16th International Exhibition for the Plastic & Packaging Industry here at the Expo Centre.
The minister while talking to media said that the exhibition would be an ideal platform to display the latest in technology, equipment & machinery and allied services. He said the exhibition will also provide investors with a definite outlook of the regional energy industry and an opportunity to meet their prospective counterparts, he said.
This globally recognized platform anticipates that participation of each individual brings benefit and success in their businesses and enables the country to move a step forward towards its economic growth, he added.
Briefing the minister, the organizer Amir Khanzada said that as many as 300, companies from around 34 countries are participating in the exhibition with a majority from, China, Germany, Italy, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Poland, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, USA, Australia, South Korea, U.K, Japan, Slovakia, Belgium, Malaysia, U.S.A, Spain, Poland, Taiwan, Thailand, Sweden, Netherlands, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to bring together the international business professionals and the leading local industry players to exchange their technical and business expertise in a highly focused B2B environment to acquaint the local industry with the latest developments in the world wide oil gas and energy sector, he said. Meanwhile, the minister visited various stalls set up at the exhibition.
