Incidents of car lifting increase in capital

The incidents of car lifting registered an increase in the federal capital during the last week as auto thieves stole/snatched over seven vehicles including motorbikes from the jurisdictions of various police stations.
According to data gathered by Business Recorder here on Saturday, different police stations of the city registered over seven cases of auto theft, three cases of robbery, three cases of kidnapping and two cases of murder during the last week.
The most "favourite" areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Noon, Karachi Company, Ramna, Golra and Margalla police stations. During the aforementioned period, Noon police station registered three cases of motor vehicle theft and one case of murder. Auto thieves stole a bike of one Liaqat Ali and lifted a bike (LEZ-69) of another Talha Nazeer. They also lifted a car bearing registration number MIA-33 of one Muhammad Azam from the jurisdiction of Noon police station.
In another incident, one Junaid Khan filed a complaint with Noon police station that accused Ali Haider and Gul Rehman shot dead his father Muhammad Ali. Karachi Company police station registered one case each of robbery and auto theft during the aforesaid period. Auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number IDK-8055 of one Shahzad Anwar.
One Muhammad Tufail filed a complaint with Karachi Company police station that unknown robbers stole gold ornaments and other valuables from his house. During the period under review, Ramna police station registered one case each of motor vehicle theft and kidnapping. Auto thieves lifted a bike bearing registration number RIR-4250 of one Muhammad Atif.
