At least two people died and several others were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in a shop of the metropolis on Saturday. The incident took place inside a shop situated at Jinnah Road, Sher Shah Colony in Karachi where a gas cylinder went off with big bang. The blast was heard at long distance in the surroundings and also damaged vehicles parked nearby and houses situated near the scene of blast. The police and rescue teams rushed the scene of the blast and started rescue operation.
Two people died in the explosion with several others including women and children were injured. The bodies and injured were shifted to Jinnah and Abbasi Shaheed Hospitals for medico-legal formalities. Police said that the incident took place due to gas cylinder explosion inside a shop. However, a case has been registered into the incident and investigation was in progress.
