On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,459. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.306 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,112.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.795 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.002 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 575.925 million, silver PKR 177.819 million, NSDQ100 PKR 160.622 million, natural gas PKR 138.426 million, DJ PKR 116.789 million, platinum PKR 99.285 million, Brent crude oil PKR 88.536 million, copper PKR 75.871 million and SP500 PKR 74.854 million. In agriculture 10 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 39.907 million were traded.
