The government has placed the names of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's principal secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's close friend Zulfikar Bukhari on Exit Control List (ECL).
Sources told that the names of Fawad and Bukhari were placed on no-fly list after an approval by the cabinet committee following the recommendation of National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The anti-graft body is conducting investigation against Zulfi with respect to his alleged offshore companies, they added.
They said the NAB is also conducting an investigation against Fawad over his alleged involvement in the Rs 14 billion Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme scam. Sources maintained that the Ministry of Interior also placed the name of Nawaz Sharif's both sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz on blacklist, adding that now they wont be able to travel anywhere on Pakistani passports.
