eRozgaar Centre's graduation ceremony held

The eRozgaar Center at University of Sargodha, a joint project of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Youth Affairs, Sports, Archeology & Tourism (YASAT) held its 2nd graduation ceremony under the chairmanship of the founding Vice Chancellor of Information Technology University (ITU) the Punjab and Chairman PITB Dr. Umar Saif at Sargodha Campus on Friday.
While addressing the ceremony Dr. Umar Saif said that the program has impressively created outstanding impact among the youth in terms of improving their creative, technical and non-technical skills. He further informed that the graduates of this program, which was specifically designed for the jobless graduates, have generated foreign exchange worth around 4 Crore Pakistani Rupees through freelancing activity. The eRozgaar center at University of Sargodha has so far graduated 127 students in the first batch while 132 were graduating today in the second batch making a total earning from this center alone as US $ 11,617, he added. He distributed certificates of appreciation among the winners and runner ups of the Hackathon activity, which took place at the center two weeks ago.
Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha appreciated the tireless efforts and vision of Dr. Umar Saif to empower the educated youth and to eradicate unemployment from Pakistan.
He promised to keep supporting the program with same enthusiasm in other campuses of the university. Three highly successful students from the second batch inspired and motivated the participants by sharing their amazing success stories and the impact made by eRozgaar on transforming their personal lives and also enabling them to financially support their families. The day ended on the distribution of graduation certificates among the graduates by Director General e-Governance PITB Sajid Latif and Director Entrepreneurship Atif Mumtaz.
