"Trust my judgment on the selection of Sardar Usman Buzdar as a Punjab Chief Minister; he will put into practice the vision of new Pakistan," said newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Addressing a meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s Punjab parliamentary party here on Saturday, he told the MPAs that the decision of nominating Usman as the Punjab CM was taken in the interest of Punjab. He asked the provincial legislators to work together to make Punjab a prosperous province and urged them to serve the people. "We will change the destiny of the province. We will not disappoint the people of Punjab, we will give them prosperity and development," he added.
The meeting was attended by Punjab Speaker and PML-Q leader Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, PTI's nominated Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar, PTI's nominated Punjab Governor Chaudhary Sarwar, PTI Central Punjab President and MPA Aleem Khan, MPA Dr Yasmin Rashid and provincial parliamentarians.
While talking to media after the meeting, Aleem Khan refuted the allegations against Sardar Usman Buzdar that were reported in the media. It has been alleged that the PTI nominated CM was involved in a murder and a NAB case. "These are just allegations based on rumors and nothing else. It is circulating in the media but with no proofs.
