The three-day Suppliers and Vendors Defence Exhibition (SAVDEX-2018) organized by Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) was concluded here at the Expo Center. The DEPO's representatives and the LCCI office bearers addressed the concluding ceremony. LCCI President Tahir Javed Malik said that over 20,000 people visited the exhibition on final day that provided a platform for the Pakistani entrepreneurs to establish new trade and economic relations with their foreign counterparts.
This exhibition was mainly organized to establish meaningful partnerships between the private sector and the government departments in defence sector. All over the world, fairs and exhibitions are considered to be the most effective marketing tool and reaching out to potential customers, he added. The fairs and exhibitions not only help attract foreign buyers and bring in much needed foreign exchange but also highlights the country's soft image, he added.
LCCI chief said that taking part in exhibitions was not just an opportunity to improve the competitiveness of products, it can also make the manufacturer more competitive by optimizing business processes, expanding service range, increasing brand awareness and customer loyalty, he added.
The other speakers were of the view that Pakistani business community has the ability to do miracles on the economic front. The government considers business community engine of growth and making all out efforts to provide good business atmosphere to the businessmen, they added.
