The Punjab Health department has finalized necessary arrangements to extend round the clock healthcare services to the people during Eid-ul-Azha holidays. "All the principals of autonomous medical intuitions in Punjab, director general, Health Services Punjab Lahore, CEOs (Health), medical superintendents of teachings hospitals, heads of special health institutions, and all medical superintendents of DHQ & THQ hospitals in Punjab had been directed to provide round the clock quality healthcare services during Eid holidays," sources said.
Duties have been assigned to the doctors and paramedical staff, while necessary medicines have also been arranged in the hospitals, the sources said, adding: "Life-saving medicines, vaccines, disposables, linen, etc, perfect working order bio-medical equipment, machines, fully functional operation theatres, fully equipped functional ambulances along with trained staff have also been ensured."
On the other hand, the Punjab Emergency Service Ambulance, Rescue and Fire Services will remain on high alert during Eid holidays across the province. Around 9,907 rescuers have been deployed at strategic sites during Eid holidays in order to ensure prompt response to emergencies, disasters, or any others untoward incident.
Special Mobile Rescue posts shall also provide optimum Emergency Cover at major Eid prayer venues. The Provincial Monitoring Cell and Patient Transfer Services Cell at Rescue 1122 Headquarters shall remain operational round-the-clock to ensure effective implementation of District Emergency Plans.
