Eid-ul-Azha: KP police chalk out security plan

Capital City Police (CCPO) chief Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman has announced of chalking out a foolproof security plan for ensuring peaceful observance of Eidul Azha in provincial metropolis, Peshawar. Around 2000 policemen have been deployed at different places including Eidgah, mosques, recreational places, bazaar, bus stands and animal markets.
High alert has been issued at all the entry and exit points of Peshawar city with directives of being extra vigilance for all police officials. Apart from patrolling police, the officials of bomb disposal squad, ladies police, sniffer dog handlers and Armed Personnel Carriers (APCs) will also remain alert and keep a check on all places of public importance, adds the press release.
Horse rider police officials and members of Combat Unit will also be deployed at different places of public importance. For ensuring peace, special barricades will be erected at 101 places near the entry and exist points of the city. Policemen in civil dress will also be deployed at animal markets to keep a check on cheaters who loot people through payment of fake currency notes.
The CCPO Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman has directed all divisional SPs and SDPOs to ensure complete implementation of security plan so that no untoward happening could take place during holy festival of Eidul Azha. He also requested general public to keep an eye on anti state elements and forthwith inform police in case they feel presence of any such person in their locality.
