CNOOC, CNPC LNG terminals receive record amount of gas in 2018

* CNOOC's Zhejiang LNG terminal, in the coastal city of Ningbo, discharged 80 shipments last year, with a total volume of 5.47 million tonnes, the state oil firm said on its website

* PetroChina's Rudong terminal, in eastern Jiangsu province, received 85 tankers last year for a total 6.5 million tonnes of the fuel, operating the import facility at full rates, parent company CNPC said on its news portal on Thursday

* In 2018, PetroChina's three major receiving terminals - Tangshan, Dalian and Rudong - received a record total volume of 15 million tonnes of LNG, CNPC said, without giving a comparison

* China, the world's second-largest LNG buyer after Japan, imported a record 47.52 million tonnes of LNG in the first 11 months of the year, up 43.6 percent from a year earlier, as another over 3 million homes switched to gas for heating this winter to help combat pollution
