Sindh Minister for Revenue and Relief, Makhdoom Mehboobuzzaman, has said that people will see positive changes in services of revenue department and get relief. Talking to the media during his surprise visit to the revenue department, he said, we are going to initiate different projects and changes to facilitate people of the province that would wipe out the negative impression of the department.
"There is no room for ghost employees and habitual absentees in the revenue department. Strict action has been ordered against all absent employees of scanning department," he said, directing the subordinates to improve the working of scanning section as it is the most important section of the department.
Makhdoom said revenue's is one of the oldest and key departments in the province; it needs more attention and changes to improve its performance and working. He said he would continue to conduct surprise visits in other districts of the province as well.
Secretary Revenue Department Nadeemur Rehman briefed the minister regarding the working of different sections, including scanning section and micro-filming section.
Member Board of Revenue Land Utilization, Abdul Wahab Soomro apprised Makhdoom that they are facing shortage of space and the office building need special attention. He said repair and maintenance work is highly needed for smoothly running the official matters in said building.
Later, the Minister visited the office of Anti-encroachment Cell adjacent to the Commissioner's office and monitor the working of the department.
