As many as 21 nomination papers were received against the 15 vacant seats of the Executive Committee of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) for the year 2018-19.
Muzzamil Sultan, Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz, Hajji Muhammad Ramzan members of the FCCI Election Commission told that for the 7 vacant seats of Corporate Class, 8 nomination papers were received. Among these includes Syed Zia Alamdar Hussain of M/s. Fashion & Trends (Pvt.) Ltd, Chaudhry Habib Ahmad Gujjar of M/s. ZamZam Textile Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Saqib Majeed of M/s. Majeed Fabrics (Pvt) Ltd, Humayun Qaiser of M/s. H.A Haq Spinning Mills (Pvt) Ltd, Khawaja Ahsan Shahid Sikka of M/s. Karss Paint Industries, Asim Munir of M/s. Z.A Industry, Zafar Iqbal Sarwar of M/s. ZIS Textile (Pvt) Ltd and Mian Muhammad Adrees of M/s. Sitara Chemical Industries Limited.
Meanwhile 12 members are in the run for 7 vacant seats of Associate Class. Among these includes Mian Muhammad Saleem of M/s. Saleem Hosiery, Habibur Rehman Gill of M/s. Gill Traders, Muhammad Ikram Ullah of M/s. Lyallpur Cotton Mills Depot, Muhammad Idrees of M/s. Idrees Fabrics, Bilal Waheed of M/s. Waheed Agencies, Muhammad Saeed of M/s. Saeed Traders, Muhammad Saeed Iqbal of M/s. Zaec Associates, Muhammad Shaheen Tabassum. Of M/s. Lawrence Hosiery Products, Muhammad Babar Shahzad of M/s. Babar Shahzad & Saqib Shahzad, Muhammad Faisal of M/s. Star Fabrics, Muhammad Tanveer Riaz of M/s. Friends Traders and Mazhar Hussain of M/s. Mazhar Hussain Cut Piece Merchant.
Only one nomination paper was received against the one vacant seat reserved for the ladies. Madam Ms. Robeena Amjad of M/s Lilly Fabrics filed nomination paper for this seat.
According to the FCCI Election Commission, the scrutiny of nomination papers will be held today and list of eligible contesting candidates will be displayed on the notice board of FCCI.
