EcGP, PCJCCI to hold global engineering expo from tomorrow

The E-commerce Gateway Pakistan (EcGP) in collaboration with the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce (PCJCCI) is organizing three-day "International Engineering and Machinery Exhibition-2018" from September 1, 2018. PCJCCI President S M Naveed and EcGP President Dr Khursheed Nizam revealed this at a press conference on Thursday while President Halal Food Association China, Ma Zhijun was also present on the occasion.
The speakers said that over 200 Chinese are participating in this trade fair and exhibition that would provide opportunities to all participants from different sectors like automotive industry, engineering, transport, construction, block making, rice technology, food technology and Halal food industry.
The companies belonging to these sectors will showcase their latest technology, equipment and innovative ideas of new products from all over the world, they said. S M Naveed hoped that the exhibition would prove to be a source of inspiration and real opportunities for business ventures to the local businesses and industries.
Further, it will also open doors for the upgradation of local industry by introducing emerging technologies and to develop our businesses based on futuristic approach to take maximum benefits out of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Belt & Road Initiative (BRI), he added.
PCJCCI Senior Vice President Dr Muhammad Iqbal Qureshi stressed upon "building a global community with shared future for humanity" and invited other countries to participate in "high quality and shared development" under BRI. This is a good sign for Pakistan to play its role in aligning with this vision of its strategic and all weather partner China, he added.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Khursheed Nizam said this business-to-business exhibition aims to be a one-stop shop for all the food industry products from processing technology to the finished products. Hence, the event is a wonderful opportunity to see a range of products to thousands of potential buyers who will be attending the exhibition," he said.
Dr Nizam said the exhibition is being initiated to facilitate effective interaction among camaraderie of the machine tool, automation, and cutting tool and user industries. The exhibition will also promote new international and domestic manufacturers and suppliers of machine tools and automation products/services, creating a unique platform to leverage the rapidly growing Pakistan's market, he added.
