Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering, has said that Pakistan has suffered a lot due to inept leadership, and, in the wake of general elections 2018, people of Pakistan have handed over the reins of country to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led by Imran Khan.
He said this while addressing a ceremony as a chief guest held in connection with Independence Day Celebrations at Dr. Nisar Auditorium of Unique Group of Institutions on Thursday.
Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed said that the new PTI leadership has vision to steer the country out of mess and take it to new horizons of development among the comity of nations. He said that there is no dearth of talent in Pakistan and the youth inspired by the maverick leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan has the potential to transform Pakistan into a developed country.
He said that during the five years term of PTI, Pakistan would progress leaps and bound and people of Pakistan in general and the world in particular would witness a marked difference in the new and old Pakistan.
He eulogized the role of Unique Group of Institutions in providing quality education to the youths of the Pakistan. He said that the educational system at UGIs has achieved tremendous success over the last more than three decades as it has produced highest achievers in the field of education who are serving in various capacities.
UGIs Chairman Prof Abdul Manan Khurram said that education of the youth is a must for development of the country. He said that UGIs is serving its responsibility in the form of offering quality educational services to youths belonging to various segments of society.
He said that UGIs focuses on the youth who are the future of the country. He said that UGIs always accords equal priority to co-curricular activities vis-à-vis moral education of the youth so that they could become responsible citizens of the state.
The ceremony was attended by Rector UGI Prof Amjad Ali Khan, Diirector Administration Prof Jahanzeb Anwar Malik, Director Academics Prof Waseem Anwar Chaudhry, District Education Officer Muhammad EhsanulHaq and students and faculty of UGIs.
