Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has accorded approval for a three-day extension in the parole of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt Muhammad Safdar(retd) to attend last rituals of late Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Sources said the chief minister accorded approval for extension in the parole on a summary moved by the Home Department. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had requested the Punjab Home Secretary for a five-day parole of his imprisoned family members. The Home Secretary allowed 12-hour parole under the Pakistan Prisons Rules 1978.
