Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar during a surprise visit of Arfa Karim Software Technology Park (AKSTP) and e-Khidmat Markaz on Thursday said the PTI government will improve the organizational capacity of government departments by using latest information and communication technologies.
Talking on the occasion, the chief minister said the scope of arazi centers will be expanded to provide necessary relief to the people. Steps are being taken to enhance the scope of arazi centers keeping in view public rush and PITB will have to take lead in this regard. He said that a state-of-the-art chief minister' complaint cell will be established through the technical support of PITB to immediately solve the problems faced by the people.
He said that information technology is the key to progress which could create mammoth employment opportunities for the talented youth. The government will encourage youth in the IT field so that they could explore their potential and excel in life, he added.
During visit to e-Khidmat Markaz, the CM inspected the facilities provided to the citizens. He met with the visitors and inquired about their problems. Different people, on the occasion, said that an organized system is put in place to solve their issues and they have not faced any difficulty here. He announced to expand the scope of establishment of e-Khidmat Markaz and added that such centers should be established in every district so that people could be accommodated at their doorsteps.
Moreover, talking to head of UK's Department for International Development (DFID) in Pakistan Joanna Reid, the chief minister said that the PTI government fully believes in the durable development of the social sector as improving health, education and skills development sectors is the need of the hour. He said that investment on human development is an investment on the bright future of the country as we have to pay back the people by providing them better facilities. "We appreciate the cooperation of DFID and look forward to expand this partnership for providing quality facilities to the people," he added.
