Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)'s MPA in Punjab Assembly, Hina Parvez Butt on Saturday has submitted resolution in assembly secretariat against the advertisement of sanitary workers.
Giving the reference of the advertisement in which it was stated that only non-Muslims were eligible for the post of sanitary workers, Hina stated in her resolution that this was against the ethics.
"Associating any job vacancy with a specific religion is condemnable while according to the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan every citizen has equal rights," read the resolution.
The resolution demands that all public departments should be restricted not advertise any vacancy specifying any religion, particularly for the posts of sanitary workers as it is meant to disgrace the non-Muslims. It further demands that government should take action against such department advertise such vacancies while government should make legislation in this regard.
