Almost every smartphone manufacturer seems to be racing to make the first foldable phone and now new reports suggest that Xiaomi might be the new one to join the race with a unique tri-fold phone.
Popular leaker Evan Blass recently shared a video of what he claims to be Xiaomi’s next foldable phone. The phone is different from other foldable phone prototypes since it is a triple-folding phone, which means the two side panels of the phone can be folded backwards instead of just one.
Xiaomi sets Guinness World Record by creating largest smartphone display
Can't speak to the authenticity of this video or device, but it's allegedly made by Xiaomi, I'm told. Hot new phone, or gadget porn deepfake? pic.twitter.com/qwFogWiE2F

The video shows a phone with a large tablet-sized display being used to access Google Maps and then both of its left and right sides are folded in order to make it in a normal smartphone form. Though it is not sure if the device is a Xiaomi phone or not, but it was earlier reported by ET News that Xiaomi is in works of an ‘outfolding’ phone which it might release in 2019, reported Engadget.
Moreover, if the rumor is to be believed, Xiaomi will be the latest smartphone brand to join in the race of making foldable smartphones as the new trend.
