At least eight people were injured in a hand grenade blast near Kharan's Bazaar area on Monday. According to police sources, a security forces vehicle was patrolling in the area when unknown men riding a motorbike hurled hand grenades at the vehicle which went off, leaving eight citizens injured on the spot.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospital where three of them victims were referred to Quetta civil hospital in view of their critical condition. The injured were identified as Muhammad Iqbal, Ubaid, Kamran, Noor Ahmed, Shaukat, Aurangzaib, Gull Muhammad and Haji Khuda-i-Noor. Security forces and their vehicle were luckily escaped in the attack. Law enforcement agencies reached the site and started investigation. Further probing was underway.
