The expected candidate of Awami National Party (ANP) for by-election KP-71, Salahuddin has demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice against using of government machinery and violation of code of conduct ahead of by-election in provincial assembly constituency PK-71.
Addressing at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, ANP leader said the incumbent KP Governor Shah Farman had made as a head of task force for the by-election, which he added was misusing the governor house for political purpose.
He alleged that government machinery is being fully utilized in the constituency to ensure win of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf candidate PTI candidate Zulfiqar (Governor's brother) in the by-poll at any cost.
In this connection, he added the incumbent Governor held meetings with people from different union councils (UCs) of the constituency on daily basis to make the win in upcoming by-election. But, he said the Election Commission of Pakistan didn't take any notice of it. He added the elders of the constituency were being deceived by hollow claims to just win the election.
ANP leader said the issue will discuss with the party central and provincial leadership about using Governor House for political activity and will devise a line of action against it.
Salahuddin said that the Governor Shah Farman was bound to represent state. He demanded of election commission to take notice against KP Governor Shah Farman in this regard, otherwise, they would be compelled to hold protest demonstrations in front of election and governor house.
