146 awarded degrees at 56th convocation of FAST-NUCES

The 56th Convocation ceremony of FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES) was held at its Peshawar campus.
A total of 146 graduates from Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Management Sciences disciplines were awarded degrees. This year, the convocation was a truly momentous occasion, organized on unprecedented scale with tens of corporate luminaries, leading academicians, intellectuals, parents, faculty and their students.
Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, and Rector FAST National University Engr. Prof Dr. Ayub Alvi awarded medals to position holders of batch 2014-2018.
The Department of Electrical Engineering awarded Muhammad Usama Lodhi with Gold medal, Talal Mehmood Silver medal, and Muhammad Hamza Khan Bronze medal. In the FAST School of Management BBA Honors program the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were awarded to Neelam Nawaz, Sania Amir Khan and Rafia Anum respectively.
Likewise, in the department of Computer Sciences, Hafiz Muhammad Bilal Zaib Gold medal and Muhammad Mustafa secured Silver medal, while Sana Riaz received Bronze medal in batch 2014 of computer sciences.
In Bachelors of Electrical Engineering batch 2014 Usama Lodhi remained on Deans merit list for 08 consecutive semesters, while Talal Mehmood and Muhammad Hamza Khan secured a place on Deans merit list for 07 semesters each.
In Bachelors of Computer Sciences Program Hafiz Muhammad Bilal Zaib remained on Deans merit list for 08 consecutive semesters; Muhammad Mustafa 06 times while Sana Riaz remained on Dean's merit list 05 times. Likewise, in BBA program Neelam Nawaz remained on 06, Sania Amir Khan twice and Rafia Anum also remained once on Dean merit.
Of the 146 graduating students, 66 were awarded degrees in BS Electrical Engineering, 61 in BS Computer Science and 06 in Business Administration (BBA). In addition, 09 MS scholars in Electrical Engineering and 04 PhD scholars in mathematics also received their degrees.
Rector of federally chartered FAST-NUCES University Dr. Ayub Alvi and Director Campus, Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq also spoke on the occasion.
