Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Monday launched 13-day anti-measles campaigns in the city to protect children from the contagious disease. Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar and Metropolitan Corporation Dr Syed Saifur Rehman have asked the parents to bring their children up to 5-year-old age at the designated vaccination centers set up at all KMC-run hospitals in the city.
While inaugurating the anti-measles drive at Sobraj maternity hospital, the metropolitan commissioner said injections and vaccination courses are important to protect and safeguard the lives of children from these viral diseases.
The drive would continue till October 27.
