Complaint cell to be set up at CM office: Buzdar

20 Oct, 2018

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that a state-of-the-art complaint cell will be established at the Chief Minister's office to solve problems faced by the people at the earliest. "The working of this cell will be monitored by me," he said while talking to Federal Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwer Khan, legislators, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and different delegations who separately called on him on Friday.
The Chief Minister said the incumbent government inherited a devastated economy. "However, the difficult time will not last for long; this temporary interlude will soon be over. The past tenure was a decade of exhibitory projects and hollow slogans. Now, only those who will perform and serve the people will continue on their posts," he added.
He said the necessities of common man are well taken care of in the budget and a number of steps have been taken to improve the social sector. "A culture of austerity and simplicity is the conspicuous hallmark of the PTI. Every job has been done on merit and only the merit-based culture will be followed," he added. He made it clear that there is no room for corrupt elements, adding that a policy of zero-tolerance has been adopted against corruption.
Buzdar regretted that the opposition wants to divert the attention of the government from problems of the people, but the incumbent government will fulfill the trust of the people given in shape of their mandate in the recent elections.
