The federal capital witnessed an alarming increase in incidents of auto theft and roobberies during the last week According to data gathered by Business Recorder, over 13 incidents of different kinds of theft, 12 cases of carjacking and one murder case were reported to various police stations of the city during the last week. The most 'favourite' areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Industrial Area, Sihala and Bani Gala police stations.
During the aforementioned time period, Industrial Area police station registered four cases of auto theft and one case of robbery. Auto thieves stole a bike (RIL -1340) of Yasir Ali Bukhari, a bike of Ashraf Ali, a bike (SGL-5035) of Mazhar Hussain and a bike of Walid Raza. Humira Adil lodged a complaint with Industrial Area police station that the accused Imran and others stole Rs 45,000 and mobile phone from her home.
Sihala police station registered four cases of auto theft during the last week. Motor vehicle thieves stole a car bearing registration number VRG-12 of Muhammad Azkar, lifted a bike bearing registration number RIP-1241 of Mazhar Hussain, stole another bike bearing registration number CR-630 of Shahid Ali and stole a car bearing registration number DS-026 of Tahir Zaheer.
During the last week, Bani Gala police station registered two cases of robbery and one case of auto theft. Carjackers stole a car (YH-302) of Shabbir Ahmad from the parking of National Institute of Health. Rashid Saleem informed Bani Gala police station that accused Adil stole a laptop and an I-phone from his house. Another Aziz Kakar lodged a complaint with Bani Gala police station that unknown thieves stole an LCD, a laptop, a gold chain and Rs 10,000 cash from his house.
Karachi Company police registered one case each of robbery and auto theft. Auto thieves stole a bike (BRN-9938) of Zubair Hussain Shah. Sajjad Yaqoob informed Karachi Company police station that unknown persons stole Rs 200,000 cash, a watch, a camera and gold ornaments from his house.
During the last week Tarnol police station registered one case each of auto theft and robbery. Auto thieves stole a truck GLTD-1691 of Naeem Ullah. One Shahzeb Ullah informed Tarnol police station that four armed persons riding a bike broke into this shop and snatched Rs 848,000 from him. In the same period, Ramna police station registered two cases each of robbery. One Fahad Qayyum informed Ramna police station that the unknown robbers stole a laptop from his car.
Another Muhammad Irshad informed Ramna police station that unidentified robbers stole gold ornaments, three thousand Saudi riyals, Prize bonds of Rs 230,000 and a mobile phone from his house. During the last week, Lohi Bheer police station registered one case each of auto theft and robbery.
Auto thieves stole a car (LE-1554) of Bahadur Khan. Umer Zahoor informed Lohi Bheer police station that accused Rohullah and Muhammad Hasarat stole a laptop, a watch and cash Rs 200,000 from his house. During the last week, Khanna, Koral, Golra, Secretariat and Bhara Kahu police stations registered one case each of robbery while Kohsar police station registered one murder case and Aabpara police station registered one case of auto theft.
