A two-day 3rd Water and Energy Expo 2018 concluded at the Lahore's Expo Centre on Thursday. Event Organizer Director Prime Event Management Kamran Abbasi has claimed that more than 70 million worth business to business (B2B) deals were secured among local and foreign exhibitors and visitors.
More than 55 local and foreign companies including China, Turkey, Spain, Germany and Thailand participated in the mega event which was organized by the Prime Event Management he further claimed. A good number of business people, companies' representatives and individuals visited different stalls which exhibited water filter plants, water recycling plants, new technology in water consumption, water solutions, renewable energy and water-specific energy technology.
Officers associated with the Water and Sanitation Agency chapters of Abbott Abad, Peshawar and Lahore visited different stalls on the second day of the event and applauded exhibitors for displaying new equipment.
Event Organizer Director Prime Event Management Kamran Abbasi told reporters that the B2B deals valuing more than 70 million were struck in machinery, waste water treatment plants, and technological equipment regarding water processing, water resources, sweetening of sea water and methods to retrieve underground water.
He said the participating companies got encouraging response during two days the exhibition. Abbasi said that the 4th such expo would take place in Karachi from Nov 5-7 in 2019. Chief Executive Officer Wasa Peshawar Khan Zeb Khan, CEO Wasa Aboot Abad Noor Khan and Director Wasa Lahore Muhammad Tanveer visited multiple stalls and gathered information about new technology. First International Conference of Pakistan on Water and Energy Research also took place on the second day in which experts highlighted the challenges and advancement in water technologies.
