Jam Kamal meets Buzdar: Punjab, Balochistan to jointly strive for 'new' Pakistan

The chief ministers of Punjab and Balochistan in a meeting, here on Friday, expressed their resolve to make concerted efforts for a new Pakistan and also wage joint efforts for the country's development. The Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal met the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, here and discussed matters of mutual interest including promotion of inter-provincial harmony.
Jam Kamal thanked Buzdar for providing support for the establishment of cardiology centre and children's hospital in Balochistan. He said that Pakistan belongs to all of us and positive role will be played for national unity and inter-provincial harmony.
Terming the role of Balochistan pivotal in new Pakistan, Usman Buzdar said they will move forward shoulder to shoulder for the sake of national development. He said that people living in Balochistan are our brethren and we stood with them. The Punjab government will provide every possible support for the prosperity of Balochistan province, he added.
Moreover, talking to different delegations, the Punjab chief minister said that nation has to face the consequences of wrong policies of the past government as cruel joke was made with the economy by wasting billions of rupees on show off projects. In fact, past government is responsible for adverse economic conditions, he said.
The chief minister maintained that the PTI is facing the challenge of improving the sagging economy. Solid steps taken by the PTI government will help revive the economy in the right direction, he added. The people should understand that difficulties are temporary and the team led by Imran Khan will bring the country out of economic crisis.
He further said that reforms are being introduced in local bodies system. The problems of the people will be solved at local level in the new system and they will not have to go to Lahore for the solution of their problems, he said.
He said that Pakistan housing program has been launched for the provision of houses to low- income families. This program is a game-changer initiative which will help promote various industries along with creation of new job opportunities, he added.
