Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid on Saturday asked administration of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) to vacate land owned by Pakistan Railways. He was addressing a presser here at Railways Headquarters, Lahore. "Six trains have been launched whereas six others will be launched soon," claimed railways minister.
While vowing to augment profit of the department by whopping Rs 10 billion in one year, Rashid told attendant that Pakistan Railways will complete accords of ML-1 and ML-2. He went on to say that country's economy can't stand on its feet without revamping railways.
Regretting mammoth expenditures on low-profit railways station, Rashid revealed that as much as Rs 500 million were spent on Narowal station, the hometown of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz's lawmaker Ahsan Iqbal. He stated that a new local train would be soon launched in Karachi, the economic capital of Pakistan.
